Mount Royal Summit
Thursday, March 14, 2002 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Marriott Château Champlain
1 Place du Canada
Overview
The Mount Royal Summit will bring together citizens and representatives from corporations, institutions, community and professional associations, and government to address the protection of Mount Royal.
Participate in a day-long forum designed to renew our collective commitment to protect, conserve and enhance the mountain.
The Mount Royal Summit will mobilise Montrealers around the creation of common strategic orientations and priorities. The conclusions derived from the Mount Royal Summit will be integrated in the Sommet de Montréal scheduled for later this spring.
The day will be devoted to the adoption of the Mount Royal Charter and the production of an analysis of Mount Royal, including a definition of the key success factors leading to an action plan.
The Mount Royal Charter, inspired by international charters and the Déclaration québécoise du patrimoine, establishes the principles guiding all actions on the mountain, in order to encourage quality in all necessary interventions and appreciation for the communal asset that is Mount Royal.
