Les Amis de la montagne provides the community the opportunity to exchange ideas and to become involved in the improvement of Mount Royal. Specifically, Les Amis’ objectives are as follows:
Promote a greater understanding of Mount Royal’s geology, history, flora and fauna;
Encourage Montrealers to use Mount Royal Park and encourage the provision of services in the park for the benefit of citizens;
Encourage studies on Mount Royal including those for the enlargement of the park;
Protect the park’s natural beauty to ensure citizens’ enjoyment of the park;
Solicit the financial support of citizens and the necessary funds in order to enable the goals of the organisation;
Contribute financially through donations received as defined by the Canada Tax Act or otherwise, towards improvement, renovation, education or restoration projects on Mount Royal realised by the organisation or by a third party under agreement with the organisation.
