TUQUES BLEUES 2008 - AN INVITATION TO JOIN!

What better than a starry night, a fresh carpet of snow and the sparkle of city lights to warm your heart during the Tuques Bleues Celebration and Snowshoe Event to be held on February 21st, 2008.

On this occasion, more than 800 people passionate about Mount Royal will once again gather to revive this 1840s tradition, sporting snowshoes and blue tuques accompanied by the glow of torchlights. Les Amis de la montagne’s signature fundraiser supports the organization’s mission to protect and conserve Mount Royal. The objective of the event is to raise $250,000, nearly one third of the annual campaign goal.

You may contribute to the success of the evening as follows:

Purchase tickets for yourself and your friends as individuals at a cost of $200 per ticket.
Form a corporate team of 10 participants or more.
Become a partner through a donation or a sponsorship.

Your active participation will help set the tone for the event, which is part of the opening night festivities of the MONTREAL HIGH LIGHTS Festival. Les Amis de la montagne provides partners with visibility and team-building opportunities for participating employees.

Registration tent

5:45 p.m.: Registration and snowshoe fitting period begins (ATTENTION! No on-site registration will be accepted the day of the event. No replacements or changes may be made for registered snowshoe racers.)
6:20 p.m.: Registration and snowshoe fitting period ends; words of welcome; pointers on snowshoeing.
6:30 p.m.: Snowshoe departure

Chalet du Mont-Royal, Mount Royal Park

7:30 p.m.: Tuques Bleues Celebration; arrival of snowshoers and cocktail participants; outdoor BBQ
8-10 p.m.: Medal and trophy presentations; words of thanks; gastronomic buffet and entertainment
