Become a Volunteer
Les amis de la montagne’s efforts to protect and enhance Mount Royal requires the support of people of all ages. Since we are a community-founded non-profit organization, your commitment and generosity is the key to our success. Our advocacy, conservation and fund raising activities take place year round and we can offer both short and long-term volunteer opportunities. Please allow our volunteer coordinator to contact you by completing the online form below.
Volunteers wanted for a specific activity: Festival de la marche on Mount Royal on September 26
The Festival de la marche is organized this year by the Fédération québécoise de la marche, Les amis de la montagne and five walking clubs from Montreal.
The Festival is a unique opportunity to discover the mountain in a group, with your family or friends. This 12th edition of the festival, held for the first time on Mount Royal, is open to walkers and hikers of all levels. Led by experienced guides, 8 designated trails will be featured, as well as an exhibitors’ fair, activities at the starting line and a festive gathering for participants at the end of the day.
Les amis de la montagne is in need of volunteers to help with welcome and information duties:
- Visitor welcome – outdoors (3)

- Information stations (2)
