The Prix du Mont-Royal pays tribute to individuals for their remarkable contributions towards the protection and enhancement of Mount Royal.

The Prix du Mont-Royal is an initiative of Les amis de la montagne presented in collaboration with the Ville de Montréal. The awards ceremony closes the festivities celebrating Mount Royal Month, one of the most important springtime conservation events in Montreal.

Nomination process
 

All nominees will be considered regardless of age. Individuals may nominate themselves or their candidacy may be proposed by a third party. Award winners will be contacted to verify whether they accept the award prior to the ceremony in May.

 
A complete nomination consists of:
  • The signed nomination form from an individual having direct knowledge of the nominee's contribution;
  • A brief (500 words or less) description of the nominee’s contribution to Mount Royal;
  • Other supporting material may be submitted, such as a CV (to a maximum of 3 pages).
 The complete nomination must be submitted to Les amis de la montagne by the end of March.
