The Outremont summit is also known as Mount Murray. It is located within the boroughs of Outremont and Côte-des-Neiges/Notre-Dame-de-Grâce.
On it are situated the Université de Montréal, the four cemeteries of Mount Royal and the Saint-Jean-Baptiste woods.
The summit is tree-covered so there is no viewpoint. However, a promontory overlooking the Université de Montréal provides an impressive panorama of the north of Montréal and the region.
The upper part of Mount Royal Cemetery offers views of the east of the city.
The path through the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Woods starts at the western end of Mont-Royal Boulevard at the corner of Courcelette Street. Round-trip hike of about 1.5 km.
